About me

A little about me

Hello there, I am an independent wedding florist based in Surrey, England. I use local and seasonal flowers to create bespoke designs to bring magic to your wedding day, whilst being as sustainable as possible.

My style

I love to tell a tale, lift the mood and bring people together with my flowers. My flowers are part of your love story and it is completely my honour to create an elegant and warming space for you and your guests.

I’m drawn to a natural and wild but elegant style. Romantic but with a modern edge. Whimsical displays of flowers, complemented and contrasted with beautiful foliage.

The floristry world is slowly getting better at being more environmentally friendly and sustainability is very important to me. With this in mind I will never use floral foam in my designs - it can be a little more expensive and take a little longer, but in my eyes it is completely worth it. I will always reuse plastic based supplies and compost my green waste. I will always try to use as many British grown flowers in my designs but realistically I need to use imported blooms to be able to deliver the designs I promise to you.

A little more about me

After eight years working in the insurance consulting industry, I knew it was time for me to explore my creative side. This happened at a similar time to planning my own wedding and hence Amy Carlile Flowers was created.

Unexpectedly, there are a whole load of transferable skills between consulting and floristry such as great attention to detail, the ability to communicate well, staying on your toes as a problem solver and being a safe pair of hands for your clients.

I now cannot imagine not having this flowery happiness in my life and, even better, getting to share it with my wonderful clients.

Things you’ll find me doing in my spare time:

  • Walking my dog in the Surrey countryside

  • Creating a huge feast for family and friends - I love a roast at anytime of the year

  • Trying out new food places

  • Planning the next room in my house to renovate
